Physiotherapist, BScPT, Diploma in Remedial Massage

 

Jess is an Australian physiotherapist, who earnt her degree BScPT at Charles Sturt University, receiving the Deans Award for Academic Excellence in 2013 and 2014. Prior to this Jess obtained a Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Australian College of Massage in 2010, and has been working in the health industry for the past seven years.

Over the past three years, Jess has experience treating clients with vestibular disorders, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation and also falls prevention, while working at large Hospital and Subacute rehabilitation service in Australia. Jess uses her through clinical assessment skills, manual therapy techniques, as well as her growing Clinical Pilates knowledge to empower people get the best out of their bodies.

Jess has a strong interest in sports physiotherapy, touring internationally as team physiotherapist with a professional Australian/ Slovenian Road Series Cycling Team. Most recently as the Physio for the 2017 “Tour of Japan” with Attaque Gusto Cycling Team, as well as completing Tours in Thailand and Australia. Jess has set up and ran mobile physiotherapy clinics at major international mountain bike events, across the Asia Pacific. As well as enjoying working closely with men’s Australian Rules Football teams and women’s provincial basketball teams.

Although Jess’s sporting background is basketball and netball (Australian Sport) playing semi-professionally in Australia and representing her province at the Basketball Australia’s Women’s National Championships, outside the clinic Jess is enjoying North Vancouver’s outdoor lifestyle and learning how to skate.
