Kinesiologist Natalia Montemayor uses exercise and movement as her primary approach to rehabilitation. She follows a holistic model by helping her patients use the right movements in all aspects of their lives to help improve their quality of life, while avoiding injury and, especially, re-injury. Beyond her kinesiology training, she has experience as a personal trainer, helping her clients achieve their fitness goals.
Natalia’s main sport is sailing. She competed all over the world in the Laser Radial discipline. One of her most memorable accomplishments was qualifying to compete in the Pan-American Games. She has now moved on to coaching sailing at the Vancouver Yacht Club, while she continues to sail for fun.
Natalia earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at UBC, with a minor in psychology. She is a certified American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer, a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists, and a Sail Canada CANSail level 5/6 instructor.
Natalia likes to camp and surf off of Vancouver Island in her spare time. She enjoys the outdoors and loves long hikes with her dog.
She is fluent in Spanish.
