Bettina Mackenbach, BSc, RD is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, as well as a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Bettina uses an evidence-based and client-centered approach, co-creating realistic goals with each client to foster growth, self-confidence and sustainable change in their health and wellbeing.
Bettina has over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness arena, ranging from working as a clinical dietitian, in executive wellness, pre-and post-natal community nutrition and long-term care. Bettina specializes in supporting women through the perimenopausal transition with evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
Bettina is also passionate about helping high school and collegiate athletes optimize their nutrition to support performance, recovery, and long-term health. She also enjoys working with families to reduce mealtime stress and help picky eaters develop a more positive relationship with food.
Bettina believes that everyone deserves to feel confident, healthy, and empowered in their own body. She helps clients achieve their personal vision of wellness by fostering sustainable habits, challenging self-limiting beliefs, and replacing negative self-talk with self-compassion. Her strengths-based approach meets each client where they are, creating realistic, lasting change one step at a time.
Bettina believes that exceptional nutrition care is rooted in both science and compassion. She is dedicated to ongoing professional development, regularly reviewing the latest research to ensure her clients receive current, evidence-based recommendations. Her goal is to make nutrition science accessible by translating the evidence into practical, personalized strategies that fit everyday life.
In her free time, Bettina enjoys trying out different ethnic cuisine, managing high school basketball teams, acrylic painting, bicycling, and snowshoeing.
