Accelerate Your Pain Relief
Our physiotherapists are highly committed to helping their patients and often use a hands on approach to treat pain to help patients reach their wellness goals. Our physiotherapists are trained in manual therapy including massage, joint mobilization and manipulation. They are also able to prescribe exercises so you can work on your health at home! Whether you want to return to sport, tackle that half marathon or just be able to do the dishes again we can help! At NSSM our patients are our top priority.
All of our practitioners book patients every half hour, giving you double the time that other clinics provide. We take the time to listen, assess the issue, and develop an individualized plan.
Initial Physiotherapy Assessment (60 min): This option is for new patients, current patients who have a new injury, or current patients who have not seen their physiotherapist in over 3 months. With this treatment option, your physiotherapist will be able to assess and diagnose your injury, make a treatment plan for you, and provide treatment. This could include acupuncture, IMS (dry needling), manual therapy, etc.
Physiotherapy Follow-Up Treatment (30 min): This option is for patients who have had an appointment in the last 3 months for the same injury. With this treatment option your physiotherapist will be able to evaluate your progress, update or modify your exercises, and provide hands on treatment, which could include acupuncture, IMS (dry needling), manual therapy, etc.

GLA:D (Good Life with Arthritis in Denmark) is an exercise program developed by researchers and physiotherapists in Denmark for people with symptoms of knee or hip osteoarthritis (OA). Our program is delivered by GLA:D-trained registered physiotherapists (Ramsey and Allison Ezzat). Due to COVID-19, the entire program is currently being delivered VIRTUALLY through Telehealth. TheraBands will be provided by NSSM, and no other equipment is required.
This program includes a 30 minute individual assessment followed by two education sessions, and 12 group exercise classes. The exercise classes are limited to 6 participants and run twice a week for 6 weeks. If you are currently seeing a physiotherapist, this program can be done concurrently. You do not need to be diagnosed with OA to attend this program.
If you are interested in participating in this program, the first step is to book a GLA:D assessment with Allison or Ramsey. Please contact us at 604-973-0242 if you have any questions or for information about the next program dates.
